FORESTS

East Africa is home to some of the largest tropical forests in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Mau Forest in Kenya has a surface area of about 675,000 acres with numerous rivers originating from it. The Mabira Forest in Uganda has an area mass of about 300 kilometers and is home to numerous endangered species.
